I had the privilege to review the “old fashioned” movie, novelization & devotional. I have enjoyed watching and reading about the idea that love done the old fashioned way is more efective and will last longer than just dating someone. You can read a little more about the novelization and devotional below and you can read my review on the “old fashioned” movie HERE if you missed it before. Enter below for a chance to win all three.
Old Fashioned Novelization
The “old fashioned” book is where chivalry makes a comeback. This book is based on the movie and I personally felt like this novelization had all of the parts of the movie that I loved with a little more intense feelings as they describe every situation with such detail. This book is about a relationship between the characters Clay and Amber. Clay doesn’t believe in dating as you and I would think of when we think of dating and Amber is intrigued by this as she gets to know him more. They both learn things about each other on a deeper level the old fashioned way. This is a great read if you love stories that have interesting story lines and if you love romance in its purest form like I do.
The Old Fashioned Way Devotional
Contrary to popular opinion, being “old fashioned” doesn’t mean you’re dull or unromantic. In fact, a true old fashioned relationship can be more exciting and romantic than anything you’ve ever experienced! So what does it mean to do things the old fashioned way? Sure, it means opening doors, holding out chairs, and taking things slow. But a true old fashioned romance goes much, much deeper than that. Inspired by the motion picture Old Fashioned, this book will show you how to reclaim the lost art of romance by introducing you to romantic love as God intended it. Regardless of your past mistakes, where you’ve been, what you’ve done, or where you are now, you can find and create a love that will last a lifetime! As you work your way through this forty-day journey of inspiring readings and questions for reflection, you’ll discover all the unique and amazing benefits of doing things the old fashioned way. And before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to creating a love story for the ages. This devotional is ideal for teens and children going off to college. I think it is a good book to go through if your in the dating scene no matter how old you are.
